Roots Group of Companies Celebrates World Environment Day 2025
On 5th June 2025, Roots Group of Companies observed World Environment Day across all its locations with great enthusiasm, embracing this year’s global theme: “Ending Plastic Pollution.” The celebration emphasized the five R’s—Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Rethink—to encourage responsible plastic usage and environmental stewardship.
The program was inaugurated by Dr. Kavidasan – Director HR, along with Tmt. D. Jayalakshmi, M.E., - JCEE, TNPCB, Coimbatore and Tmt. D. Pricilla, M.E., - AE, TNPCB – Coimbatore North, in the presence of executives, staff, and operator representatives of the RIL Automotive Division.
The day began with the display of awareness banners and a collective environmental pledge taken by all employees across the Roots Group of Companies at the beginning of their shift, affirming their commitment to sustainability.
To promote green cover and eco-awareness, a sapling plantation drive was held across the company premises. In a continued effort to support sustainable living, saplings and yellow reusable cotton bags were distributed to both employees and the public—demonstrating our commitment to Green Belt Development and a plastic-free future.
